The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Hirondelle Vineyard is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it elicits provocative scents of baked blackcurrants, redcurrant jelly, blackberry pie and bouquet garni with Marmite and tilled earth nuances. Full-bodied, firm and grainy textured in the mouth, it has a lively backbone, finishing long with compelling red fruit sparks. 200 cases are due to be made. (Tasted as a barrel sample.)
