The 2018 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard comes from more than 30-year-old vines planted to Hyde and Old Wente clone. It was 100% barrel fermented and saw full malolactic, with 11 months aging in 50% new Francois Freres barrels. It sashays out of the glass with beautiful lemon curd, apple pie, key lime pie and orange blossoms scents with hints of shaved almonds and fresh ginger. Medium-bodied, the elegantly weighted palate packs an intense punch of apple and citrus layers, framed by racy acidity and finishing long and savory. Yum!
