From a one-acre sweet spot in Graton, the 2023 Chardonnay Welch Vineyard has a bit of bright reduction. it reveals lime zest, lemon verbena, and a yin-and-yang balance of high tones and concentration. Medium to full-bodied, it has terrific length and some warmth. I actually prefer it stylistically to the other whites. Drink over the coming 6-8 years. Drink 2026-2034.
