Vineyard Notes
Located on the Napa side of the Carneros AVA, Hyde Vineyard is truly one of California’s grand cru Chardonnay vineyards and a site that parallels the quality and prestige of our single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon portfolio. Carneros has always been considered prime land for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and the 200-acre Hyde Vineyard includes one of the oldest blocks of Chardonnay grapes. The shallower soil and cooler climates of Carneros result in smaller vines and grapes that turn into bright, ethereal wines.
Winemaking Notes
The Amici Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay continues to showcase the elegance of Carneros with the classic Wente clone expression. The nose opens with vibrant lime zest, delicate chalk, and a hint of honey, offering a bright and inviting aromatic profile. On the palate, racing acidity balances a creamy mouthfeel, complemented by notes of cinnamon stick and the richness of crème brûlée, leading to a long, mouthwatering finish.
