Vineyard Notes
Morisoli Vineyard consists of 53 contiguous acres on the famed Rutherford Bench in the Napa Valley. Gary Morisoli is the fourth generation of his family to grow grapes on this historic property, which has been family-farmed for over 100 years. Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruit from this vineyard is some of the most sought after in the Napa Valley. Surrounded by Staglin Family Vineyard, Scarecrow, Joseph Phelps Vineyards and Inglenook, Morisoli Vineyard fruit exhibits classic “Rutherford Dust” qualities and rich Cabernet Sauvignon character.
Winemaking Notes
The 2019 Amici Morisoli Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect example of the power and elegance that Rutherford wines are known for. Its nose is complex, with notes of bing cherry, cranberry, violet and a beautiful herbal quality, while the palate is rich and sweet, with flavors of black licorice, plum sauce and spices. The polished tannins add structure and depth throughout the long, savory finish.
