“Core of vibrant acidity”

Winemaking Notes

2013 is widely regarded as one of the best vintages on record for Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. The 2013 Amici Russian River Pinot Noir has aged wonderfully. It opens with inviting aromas of black cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and nutmeg. On the palate, bright flavors of red currant swirl around hints of forest floor, cinnamon and cloves. A lovely, bright acidity in the wine is perfectly balanced by velvety tannins leading to a long, persistent finish.

This balanced wine manages to retain some heft on the palate. A triple threat of ripe berry, cinnamon and forested notes combine effortlessly around a core of vibrant acidity. Medium bodied and lengthy on the finish.
