Vineyard Notes
Morisoli Vineyard consists of 53 contiguous acres on the famed Rutherford Bench in the Napa Valley. Gary Morisoli is the fourth generation of his family to grow grapes on this historic property, which has been family-farmed for over 100 years. Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruit from this vineyard is some of the most sought after in the Napa Valley. Surrounded by Staglin Family Vineyard, Scarecrow, Joseph Phelps Vineyards and Inglenook, Morisoli Vineyard fruit exhibits classic “Rutherford Dust” qualities and rich Cabernet Sauvignon character.
Winemaking Notes
With its deeply stained purple color, intense aromas of bramble-berry, sweet plum, and dried cherry with notes of clove, baking chocolate, and pie spice, this is an elegant powerhouse of a wine. It presents dusty tannins, supple texture, and rich flavors of sweet fruits with complex notes of pipe tobacco, roasted coffee and vanilla, full-powered through its long finish.
