Winemaking Notes
Release Notes:
This 2012 Amici Cellars Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon highlights the lush, ripe fruit and Rutherford Dust of valley floor vineyards, along with the structure and ageability of Napa Valley’s best mountain appellations. The grapes for this wine were sourced from ultra-premium vineyards in Napa Valley, 60% of the blend being premier valley floor vineyards and 40% from Napa Valley mountain appellations. The rich dark fruits of Cabernet Sauvignon are blended with a hint of soft Merlot and a splash of Petit Verdot adds depth and complexity to the blend.
This wine is lush with ripe black cherry, blueberry, and cassis, intermingled with notes of mocha, cedar, clove, and licorice. Full bodied but still graceful, this wine will improve further over the next 15 to 20 years.
