Aromas of coffee beans, black currants and hard herbs like rosemary and thyme. Rich, smooth and silky blackberry coulis with cola soy and lavender. Finish is the classic Rutherford dust flowing into soft powdery tannins of coco and cinnamon that will resolve over aging. Jeb Dunnuck

2015 Amici Morisoli Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
“The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Morisoli Vineyard comes from a site just beside Scarecrow, in the Rutherford region of Napa. Its deep ruby/plum color is followed by a classic, rich, concentrated Cabernet that has textbook notes of currants, tobacco leaf, crushed rocks/damp earth and white chocolate. Concentrated, black, inky and mineral-laced, it’s a seriously concentrated, backward effort that needs short-term cellaring, but is certainly impressive.”

“This is so refined and elegant with beautiful plum, walnut, chocolate and cream aromas and flavors. Full to medium body, firm and velvety. Long and flavorful finish. Softness. All in finesse. 240 cases made. October release. Better in 2020 but so delicious now.”

2010 Amici Morisoli Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
“The dense ruby/purple-colored 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Morisoli from Rutherford boasts a stunning perfume of blueberries, black raspberries, acacia flowers and spice. This rich, layered 2010 is the most complete and impressive wine of this quartet. Still youthful, it will benefit from several more years of bottle age, and should drink well for two decades. Impressive!”
